I’ve had the chance to sit down and read a fantastic kids book. Normally our gal Annie takes the lead on all things kids, but when I had the chance to look through Charley Harper’s Colors, I couldn’t resist.
I often get skins for all of my gadgets from this great site called GelaSkins. My hubby had picked up this amazing skin called Missing Migrants and it was by the artist Charley Harper. At the time, we just loved the skin, so we bought it and adored it. As I was reading the book, I began to put two and two together that the author/illustrator was the same as the artist we had a skin from.
As a kids book, it took me mere moments to go through the simple and yet beautifully intricate story. Charley Harper indeed does fill the book with a ton of colour and wonderful illustrations to accompany the story. It’s very basic and is probably a great bedtime story type of book for kids or just a good book for young ones to develop a strong sense of colour.
I honestly don’t have much else to say about the story since it was short and sweet. Definitely worth picking up and reading, especially if you have little ones. A great book for adults to look at too just for the art and even for aspiring children’s book writers… take a note from Charley Harper, simple is good and quality is key.
