Just moments ago I'd received a message from my long time friend and Deftones enthusiast, Mishala Strange, about a BRAND NEW musical project being helmed by none other than Chino Moreno of the ever so hard rocking band, Deftones.Nes Project proudly announces the band: † † † Crosses

From the moment the first track, †his is a † rick (all of the T's playfully written in crosses when viewed properly online) kicks in you can tell that this new project means business. Right away we're assaulted with thumping, erratic beats that fill your ears with an overwhelming sense of impending danger. Coupled with the crunching guitar Far guitarist, Shaun Lopez and dreamy beats of Chuck Doom- Chino prowls onto the record with his signature bedroom voice and always more than stellar lyrical content. At only 5 songs, this EP rips at your insides runs a gamut of emotions, leaving us with a most visceral, shadowy, and playful taste of things to come.
The band plans to release a full-length album soon, with Giant Drag singer Annie Hardy (featured on Deftone's Saturday Night Wrist track, “Pink Cellphone”) set to collaborate and set your ears on fire once again.
