The other day I was traveling along in my car, when without warning, a female singer began to chant loudly through my speakers. Like some rambunctious pep rally, Grace Lee, of the band Foot Village was instructing me to "T. A. K. E. Take, T. A. K. E. Take, Take Everything!" Suddenly, my car was alive with the 4 distinct drumming sections, rhythmically pounding out a tribalesque anthem that could not be denied.
Foot Village is a wild tribal noise rock band from Los Angeles, California. Consisting of four drummers of which two of them provide the vocals, Brian Miller, Grace Lee, Josh Taylor and a fourth member of the band whose name seems to have been wiped off the face of the internet at this time. There is no doubt in my mind that this band will do nothing but amaze attendees of the All Tomorrow's Parties I'll Be Your Mirror 2011 Asbury event. NES Project is only mere weeks away from experiencing this band up close and personal and we'll be sure to include them in our upcoming ATP IBYM coverage toward the beginning of October.
