Melodic Monday: NEW MUSIC Review - Only You - KXSC: Live Tracks

Just a few short days after our promotional coverage of a hot little, all-female collective known as Only You, comes the release of some truly amazing material for you all to enjoy. As part of a KXSC: Live session, Only You has posted several tracks to their facebook page (Only You ) and they've been playing on repeat around here all morning long!

From underneath the rubble of some Jefferson Airplane crash, the track entitled, 'The Pressure', slithers its way underneath your fingernails and works its way up through your veins, as its vengeful intentions weave all throughout your intricate circuitry. The blade-sharp vocals cut a swath clear through the soaring guitars, soulful bass and slow crash drum rhythms, leaving the listener to feel haunted and delightfully unnerved.

'Love is Blind' chills the atmosphere with its lilting guitar licks, complete with an almost jazz-like drum section; it gives off the vibe of being satisfyingly trapped upon a remote island. Complimenting the soft beauty of 'Love is Blind ' is the follow up jam, 'Tryin', a short little number that highlights the siren-like capabilities of what happens when Rachel is joined (vocally) by her fellow band mates. The combination is that of a soothing lullaby set to a soft guitar, ravaged by stars, burning brightly within a night sky.

'Applying Myself' picks up the pace as the track gives you the sensation of driving 90 mph across a stretch of desert road with the top down, and your destination being the center of a blazing hot sun. A fun track from start to finish, Only You hikes up their flowing skirts and commands you to hop in the backseat, demanding that you follow them into the shimmering oblivion.

All of the above tracks are located here: Only You Listener

I urge you all to give them a listen and be sure to "Like" and "Share" the bands page as much as you can.
